Charles Taylor is an attorney for the State of California and a member of the US Army Reserve JAG Corps. He has been a servicemember for more than twenty-eight years (in the U. S. Army Reserve and U. S. Navy Reserve), and a California state employee for more than sixteen years. He is a union member, active with local Democratic clubs and community organizations, and has served as a Board Member and Treasurer for the Central Hollywood Neighborhood Council. Charles is a strong pro-housing advocate and a progressive on housing issues. He has supported an equitable distribution of housing in the Housing Element Update. His policy interests are broad and include protecting the rights and interests of veterans and current servicemembers, income inequality, the environment, small business owners and startups, supporting a strong public education system, promoting fair and equal access to the courts, a smart criminal justice system, labor rights, employee rights, and civil rights.
