Abundant Housing LA is proud to endorse Isaac Bryan for Assembly District 55, representing some of the most dynamic and vibrant communities in all of L.A. County. It includes historically and culturally significant communities like Culver City, Palms, Mid-City, West Adams, Crenshaw, Baldwin Hills, Ladera Heights, Leimert Park, Jefferson Park, West LA, Westwood, and Century City. The families, workers, entrepreneurs, students, kids, veterans, and retired people who live here make the 55th the diverse, welcoming, and strong District it is today.
Assemblymember Isaac Bryan has been a true champion for affordable housing throughout his career and especially during his first term in the Legislature. His unwavering support for SB9, emergency rent stabilization, and other bills has been a testament to what community-based leadership can and must look like. Assemblymember Bryan knows that we can empower renters and homeowners at the same time, that we don’t need to choose between growth and fair wages for workers, and that our state’s crises of homelessness, unaffordability, lack of access to healthcare, schools, jobs, and food are interrelated.
Assemblymember Bryan is one of the three renters in the state legislature. He is precisely the kind of leader that Californians need in creating a stronger future for our state. For these reasons, we are proud to endorse Isaac Bryan for a second term.
Our endorsement committee recommended this endorsement after carefully reviewing the candidate’s voting record and considering the candidate’s work with various pro-housing organizations.
