Action Item for This Week: As a result of YOUR advocacy, our region’s home building target is 1.3 million; and the majority of that housing target is assigned to job-rich coastal cities.

The next step is for cities to update the Housing Elements of their general plans to show the locations where housing can be built and the policies and strategies necessary to meet their targets.

Let’s tell our elected officials best practices for updating Housing Elements— including increasing zoned capacity by double the production target, super density bonuses to help fund and build affordable housing, and legalizing widespread medium-density multifamily developments.
