AHLA has a lot to celebrate this year! Help us end our first year as a funded organization by celebrating our accomplishments and giving thanks to our hard-working volunteers. Thanks to AHLA members and volunteers, we were able to support individual housing projects, advocate for better community plans, support pro-housing and tenant protection on the state level, and successfully advocate for over 1.3 million homes in the SCAG region, concentrated in coastal, job-rich cities near transit! Our Guest Speaker, Culver City Mayor Meghan Sahli-Wells told SCAG that they were the “titanic,” heading to disaster on housing. Thanks to her, our amazing volunteers, and other pro-housing advocates and elected officials, SCAG voted for a better plan.
Let’s get together over beer and take the moment to recognize our successes, and the bigger wins down the road as we enter 2020. Drinks and food will be provided!
