Hi Friend,

we’re committed to continuing the fight for housing during this crisis. This week, the LA City Council and the Planning Commission will be meeting virtually, so we’re bringing our pro-housing message to them.

Check out what we’re doing and join us:

LA City Council Meeting, Wednesday April 22nd, 10:00 am

We’re working with our partners in the Healthy LA Coalition to ask the City Council to take further steps to confront the devastating effect of the COVID-19 outbreak. More than 1.3 million people in our county have already lost their jobs since last month. So we want the city council to adopt measures that will help people keep their homes.

Click here to call or write to your councilmember before their meeting tomorrow morning. There’s a script you can use.

If you do decide to call, you can find more information on specific measures here

LA Planning Commission, Thursday April 23rd, 8:30 am

We’re asking the planning commission to move forward with two multi-family housing developments that include affordable housing options in Hollywood and West LA. Click here for information on how to dial in to the meeting or watch it live, and for how to let the Council know that these projects are good for LA.

You’ll find plenty of information and prompts for your calls and letters at the links provided, but remember: the most powerful advocacy tool is your own story. Let our leaders know that housing affects everyone, and that we’re demanding a more livable LA for all. Tweet @AbundantHousing and let us know what actions you’re taking!
