Action alert: support legalizing shelters in more areas!
- The need for additional shelter beds, interim housing and permanent supportive housing in the City of Los Angeles is a serious and well-documented problem. The Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority’s November 2021 Homelessness Statistics by City report provides clear data supporting the need for more shelter beds.

LA City has to rezone by OCT 2022: HCD found LA’s housing element non-compliant but said the city is close. HCD noted that the adopted Housing Element “addresses most statutory requirements.” but deficiencies regarding the need to affirmatively further fair housing (AFFH) prevented it from being certified. As a result, LA City may lose millions in state funding if it doesn’t rezone by OCT this year. Read our statement
