Friend, it’s obvious that now more than ever, housing construction has to be encouraged, not delayed. So we’re sending our message to the governor.
Action Item for This Week: The League of Cities has submitted requests to delay the review and approval of certain housing construction, as well as extend the deadline for submitting Housing Elements. We both disagree and agree. Our letter says:
- NO to slowing down construction of housing
- YES to extending the Housing Elements deadlines
During this extraordinary time, cities should focus their efforts on carrying out their essential duties, and delivering essential services to California residents – including housing.
What’s FAIR when it comes to housing allocations anyway?? We know! Check out our brand new FAIR Plan! Together with our friends at Pacific Urbanism, we’ve developed a housing allocation methodology that’s based on the reality of where jobs and transit live, offering up a cleaner, more liveable LA. Get to know our proposal.
